Cookie & privacy policy.
How we look after your information when you visit our website or get in touch about a project.

Who we are
Portishead Group Limited is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email info@portisheadgroup.co.uk.
The information we collect
When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, project type and message, together with any phone number, budget range, timeline or project photos you choose to provide. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message or photos.
Our website providers may also process technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the website.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, discuss your project, prepare requested quotes and communicate about our services. We rely on taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and on our legitimate interests in managing enquiries and maintaining a secure website. Where applicable, we also process information to meet legal obligations.
Submitting an enquiry does not sign you up for marketing emails. We do not sell your personal information.
Storage, sharing and retention
Enquiries and any project photos are stored securely through our website hosting and database provider, Lovable Cloud. Photos are stored privately and are not published in our gallery. An email notification, including any attached photos, is sent to our team using Resend. Access to the enquiry management area is restricted to authorised administrators.
Google Fonts delivers the fonts used on this website and may receive your IP address and browser information. Links to Instagram and Facebook take you to separate websites governed by their own privacy policies.
Service providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, transfers must be covered by appropriate safeguards under UK data protection law.
We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond, manage any resulting project and meet applicable legal or record-keeping requirements. You can contact us to request deletion; some records may need to be retained where the law requires it.
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files placed on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, allow a website to remember information in your browser.
Essential preferences
We store your cookie choice in local storage under portishead-cookie-consent. This stays in your browser until you change your choice or clear website data. It is not used to track you.
Administrator sign-in
If an administrator signs in, essential authentication storage maintains their secure session. It is not needed to browse the public pages or send an enquiry.
Optional cookies
We do not currently use optional analytics or advertising cookies. Choosing “Essential only” rejects optional cookies; “Accept all” permits optional cookies, but currently both choices use essential storage only. If optional cookies are introduced, we will update this policy and ask for a new choice before using them.
You can revisit your choice at any time using the button below or “Cookie preferences” in the footer. You can also clear stored website data in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its use, and request a portable copy. These rights depend on the circumstances and legal basis for processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To make a request, email info@portisheadgroup.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or data practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
